MSC Cruises has marked a major construction milestone for MSC World Atlantic, as the new ship touched water for the first time at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France.
The float-out took place on September 30 and moves the vessel into the next phase of construction. MSC World Atlantic will remain at the shipyard while its interiors, public spaces and final technical work are completed.
The ship will become the 25th vessel in the MSC Cruises fleet and the fourth LNG-powered ship in the company’s pioneering World Class. Its official delivery is scheduled for 2027.
From November 2027, MSC World Atlantic will sail from Port Canaveral in Orlando, Florida, offering seven-night and 14-night itineraries across the Eastern and Western Caribbean.
Designed around seven distinct districts, the vessel will offer a broad range of accommodation, dining and entertainment experiences for families, couples and guests of all ages.
Itineraries aboard MSC World Atlantic are already available to book. Further information is available on the official MSC Cruises website.
